Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS).

The Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive refers to the EU restriction of six hazardous substances in new electrical or electronic equipment that is manufactured, sold or used in the European Union after July 1, 2006. These substances are lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers.
